There are a number of projects under development, but these are not ready for inclusion here. However, some of the working notes are presented here.
Various classifications and typologies of currencies have been produced, generally based upon the characteristics of existing systems or upon the factors to be considered in designing an appropriately targeted currency (examples can be found by following some of the links from economics). Some of the notes here summarize an alternative but complementary viewpoint.
The use of a single form of currency for all purposes is damaging, impractical, information-destructive and futile. It leads to inefficient, unhelpful and unfair distribution. It moves more resources to where they are not needed rather than to where they are needed. It limits regulative and self-organizing capacity. Possible (but certainly not unique) schemes for the use of multiple currencies are outlined in the TILE quadrants and the contrast between vector and scalar currencies. Some currency measures are outlined as well.
An outline design for modular CCS software is presented here, and the appropriate use of people and machines are compared and contrasted.
